Ever tried to add a list of states or countries to your Divi Contact form? It's a real pain. Countries and states / provinces are now available in Divi Contact Extended as two brand new field types called the State and Country fields. Rather than wasting time adding every state or more time adding all of the country options, you can create things like an Address field in seconds.
State Field - Divi Contact Extended
If you add the state field without the Country field, the US states will show in the dropdown selection. You can enable multi-select when you want your users to have the option of selecting more than one state.
Country Field - Divi Contact Extended
Like the state field, you can enable multi-select in the country field. If you add both the state and country fields, the state/province options will dynamically show based a user's country selection. You can also set a default country. If most visitors to your website from a certain country, you can show that country without them having to select it. Both the state and country fields can be set to required and full-width.
Seamless Integration
Like all our fields both core and custom, you can set them appear in the email notifications for both the site admin and the user submitting the form.

Divi Contact Extended will get a major facelift in early 2020. We'll debut the latest version with a much-needed tutorial video update that captures all of the functionality.
Our documentation had fallen behind. For example, did you know we have a phone field type? Lack of information will change moving forward. It's full steam ahead. Perfecting Divi Contact Extended is like executing a three-way high-five. It's tough, but rewarding.
Side note, I didn't know that was a thing until I scrolled through many stock photos of three people high-fiving. They're all painfully awkward. Look at this one. The guy on the left is putting way too much thought into the gesture. And the woman in the image above is staring directly into the camera, which is off-putting. Why is this a thing?
Anyway, back to our original programming...
In one year, Divi Contact Extended has evolved from a passion project to a serious alternative to the out-of-the-box contact module. I have devoted more hours than I care to admit scrolling through the ElegantThemes support forums to see what people most requested. Here's what you can expect:

Divi Contact Extended version 3 has arrived. In addition to compatibility updates, we are excited to announce new features:
- Drag and drop file upload field
- Input mask field type for phone fields can now be set on a per form basis
- reCaptcha display on WordPress core forms such as comment, login, and registration
- MailChimp integration with the Unlimited License
Looking Ahead: Stripe or PayPal
We now have our sights set on integrating a payment gateway. Most mature forms have this as an option. And as before, we are asking for customer input to drive our development. Unlike other premium form plugins, the feature won't become a separate add-on you have to purchase. As soon as the payment gateway integration is ready, you need only update Divi Contact Extended to begin including it on your forms. The costs to build a form are getting out of hand, easily $70 for core functionality for one site, and if you have several sites and integration needed, you or your client are shelling out hundreds.May the Best Payment Gateway Win
